 EVRIKA – fire retardant paint

1. FIELD OF APPLICATION AND PROPERTIES

Fire retardant paint "Evrika" represents a suspension of heat-resistant, gas- and foam forming fillers in organic emulsion.

Coating based on fire retardant paint "Evrika" is used for protection of wood and wooden based materials from ignition and spreading of flame.

2. NORMATIVE AND TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

Fire retardant paint "Evrika" corresponds to I group of fire-proof efficiency according to the fire safety requirements stated in NPB 251-98 "Fire-proof materials for wood and wooden based materials. General requirements. Method of testing."

4. SURFACE TREATMENT

Coating should be applied on clean and dry surface. Dust and dirt should be removed from the surface by means of wet rags, grease and oil stains can be removed with solvent (solvent № 646 is recommended). If humidity is high - use seasoning or force drying (using heating machines).

5. APPLICATION

Application conditions:

Ambient temperature - not less than +5 °С;

Relative air humidity - not more than 85 %;

Humidity of wood - not more than 15%.

Application modes:

Application is performed by means of high pressure airless spraying machines with plunger pump (Graco), with diaphragm pump (Wagner, Finish, Larius) or manually - by brush or roll. Application is performed in one or two passes. Interlayer curing for application in two passes - not less than 1 hour. Ensure 100% coverage at application of paint. Final drying time - 2-3 days.

Cleaning of tools:

Wash the tools with water immediately after end of work.

6. OPERATING CONDITIONS

Operation of coating in enclosed premises without direct ingress of drop moisture.

Operation time of coating based on "Evrika" not less than 15 years.

7. PACKAGING AND STORING

Fire retardant paint "Evrika" is supplied in metal pails of 25 kg.

Shelf life in the packaging of manufacturer - 1 year in dry place at temperature above +50С.
