MONOLIT–Fire-proof coating

"Monolit"is fire-proof heat-resistantcoating basedon granulated mineralfibre andinoragnic binding material. It is designedto increasefire-resistance degree ofconcrete and reinforced concretestructures up to 4 hours.

1. FIELD OF APPLICATION AND PROPERTIES


Priming-type fire-retardant coating "Monolit" isa one-componentmixture consisting of specific additivesand mineral binding material (portland cement).
The coating isdesignedto increasefire resistance degree ofreinforced concrete structures (bearing andenclosing walls in buildings and structures, tunnels, garages, etc.) up to 4 hours. The coating cannot change the exterior, will not crack andpeel off from the surface protected. It willendure smalldeformations,impactsand other dynamic loads. The coating is stable for mechanical cleaning, resistant againstagressive agents and specific treatments.The coating does not contain asbestos and other ingredients harmful forhumans and environment.

2. NORMATIVE AND TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

Fire-protection coating MONOLIT for reinforced concrete structures corresponds to fire safety requirements established by GOST 30247.1-94 "Construction structures. Fire resistance tests. Bearing and enclosing structures".

4. SURFACE TREATMENT

Prior to application all dust, dirt and oit stains should be removed from thesurface of the structure protected.If necessarythe concrete surface can be wetted.

5. APPLICATION


Application conditions
Ambient temperature -not less than +3 °;
Relative air humidity-not more than85%;
Application method
The coating shall be applied onto thesurface by means of plastering machines (Putzmeister P11, «ISO-P5», -103, -1, “CAFCO MIX”, CAFCO JET, etc.) or manually.
According toUser's Manual the dry material and water should be put into the machinein corelation1:1. The mixture is aplied onto the surface with the help of a pneumatic injector suppliedwith compressed airof 0,6 mPaand consumption of up to 0,5 m3/min.
The thickness of one layershould not exceed10 mm. If the thickness of the layer is more than 8mmit is necessary to reinforce thesurface prior to application.
Interlayer drying-out period amounts to 2 up to 6 hoursunder temperature ofnot less 20 0Ѡand relative air humidity of up to 85%.
Final drying-out of the coatingfor it to gain 98% strength should benot less than28 days.
Cleaning of tools
Tools should be washed immediately after application.

6. OPERATING CONDITIONS AND LIFE TIME OF THE COATING


The coating can be usedboth indoorand in open air. Operational temperature range: -50+50 . The operation period of the coatingis not less than50 years.

7. PACKINGAND STORAGE


Fire-proof coating "Monolit"is supplied 30 kg bags.
The material should be storedin a dry roomin the manufacturer's packing. Shelf lifeis 12months from the production date.
